Hey Crazy Puny Man, thanks for getting this forum started! but can anyone describe to me what Butler Regional is like? It seems really competitive...

I'm pretty sure Bloomington North and South compete at Butler, though recently a new regional has opened closer at Ivy Tech in Bloomington. I don't know if they started competing there or not.

Yo, anyone competing in Whiting Invitational on Saturday? I'll be competing in Forensics, Ento, Fossils, and Protein Modeling in case I might meet any of you users!

For anyone interested. . . Goshen Invitational, Jan 17 will by my last time running an event. Retiring to Geezer status, hanging around and drinking coffee, etc. after some 20 years and ~~175 tournaments. Gettin' old.

Wow, Northridge toppled Munster this weekend. Yet they were fourth at Whiting......
Hmmmm, not trying to start anything but I guess being at home really can help a team out.

I must say, I do not like the fact that you question our integrity. One thing that I strive for every year is to make sure that the Invitational is ran fairly for all that come. Coaches from all the teams write and proctor tests for the event to help insure this. And tests that are brought in from outside folks are ran the morning prior to make sure that their are no copies of tests laying around the school. In the past, Northridge has lost the Invitational several times, including a 4th place finish just last year. It's posts like these that make me seriously consider dropping the Invitational.

I would just like to point out that a lot can happen between December and January, especially with winter break in between.

Also, I encourage you to look more closely at the Whiting spreadsheet and take note of all three of Northridge's team ranks.

Mr. Gerber, I don't believe he was questioning your integrity. After all, you did take a couple minutes during the awards ceremony to verify that the final scores were indeed correct when your team had won. Home turf advantage can be a phenomenon at some (though not all) invitationals, but it is not due to a lack of integrity at all.

But either way, as one of Munster's team captains, I'd like to congratulate you and your team on a job well done this weekend! Best of luck to you guys at state!

As a graduate and past participant in the Northridge Invitational, I can attest to the quality and organization of this event. Northridge has a reputation of being one of the top contenders in the state. Their placement at Whiting is irrelevant considering it was over a month ago; allot can happen especially for a motivated team. Based on the previous post by Munster it sounds like they divided their talent at Whiting and just need to find the right combination of kids (had to do with 3 teams worth of kids). Sounds like things are clicking and the pieces are falling into place for them.

It would be a shame if one persons rude and disrespectful comments ends such an important event in our state. Good luck Northridge and all Indiana teams this season.
