Islip Invitational 2013

Hello all!

The Islip Science Olympiad team in Islip, NY (Long Island) is holding an invitational event on December 14th from 7:00am to 5:00pm. We are attempting to run all of the events plus the two NYS pilot events. We currently have 15 teams signed up and are looking for an additional 10 teams to come.

Registration information is as follows:
$100 for the first team
$80 for the second team

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

We have four spots left for our first annual C division invitational on December 14th. Email me at islipapes@gmail.com if you would be interested in bringing a team (or two). We will be running all of the events, including Green Generation and Chemistry of Food (the two NYS trial events), plus a fun event "Geek Speak" based on popular video games. The top five teams in each category will receive medals/awards for their participation.

We had a couple of teams back out, so we still have a few spots left for the C division invitational this upcoming Saturday. Please let me know if you would like to attend. We are still running all 25 events.

Thank you to all the teams that braved the inclement weather to attend our first invitational. We hope you all had a great time and got some valuable resources to study for regionals.

For everyone else, we have prelimarily scheduled next year's invitational at Islip for December 13, 2014. We will post registration information over the summer so that you can plan accordingly.
