Season 2013 - Site suggestions
The 2012 Season has passed, so it is time to start thinking of the coming year.
Is there something you would like to see done differently?
Maybe different organization?
Improvements to the Image Gallery or Wiki?
Or even new features?
Any other things?
Remember to read last years thread.

Re: Season 2013 - Site suggestions
I'm bothered by the fact that there is no gender on our profiles... I probably can't convince you to change your minds, I have read the discussions, but if we have our states on here, would it hurt to put gender? I just don't see a reason why not...
Also, a way to block spambots may be nice, though that (and adding gender to profiles) may take a lot of programming.

I slightly agree with Cedavis6 because it is awkward calling someone a guy when they are a girl every other day, but I understand if that gives away too much information about the user.

Guys, it's been said almost annually that they will not make a gender field and that you have to either ask someone (ie 'Skink, are you a GIRL?') or put it in your sig if you really care that people know (ie 'I'm a GIRL!!!!!'). Although, while I'm mentioning this, I, too, have made that mistake around here.
Now, for mine: is there someone I can PM a suggestion to that I don't exactly want to post here?

Gender will not be a profile option.
PM it to me.Skink wrote:Guys, it's been said almost annually that they will not make a gender field and that you have to either ask someone (ie 'Skink, are you a GIRL?') or put it in your sig if you really care that people know (ie 'I'm a GIRL!!!!!'). Is it possible to create subforums within each event in the Image Gallery? Liked it better that way (it's also more organized).
Speaking of which, were there more uploads when the gallery was being revamped? I've seen some pictures that I'm 99% sure I've never seen before.

Re: Season 2013 - Site suggestions
I know this is probably trivial, but in the image gallery can you make the page you're on stand out from the others like on the forums?

I know you can find the page number on the left side of the screen ( Page 12 of 38 [ 455 images ]), but it just for faster navigation.
Speaking of which, you should also make the gallery display more images per page. Preferably, you should make it like the one page scroll down from the not-so-new-anymore Google images. If this isn't possible, at least make it display like 30 images per page, not just 12. You can compare images better, without remembering so many page numbers.

Not sure if this was talked about before, but is it possible to create subforums on team forums?

For Forestry, there should be different threads or such for Eastern/Western trees, because I understand that it's different depending on your state.

I believe the link to the Test Exchange in the upper left corner of the Wiki homepage (but not the Forums homepage) is broken.
