Hello everyone,

An invitational will be hosted at Valparaiso University on January 13, 2012. Many VU students are involved in planning this invitational, including a good percentage who have competed in Science Olympiad. This is the first year hosting an invitational with the goal of hosting a competition every year.

More information can be found at our website: http://www.valposcioly.com.

The competition is in Indiana, however, it is close to southwestern Michigan, so teams in that region would not be too far away.

Have a good season!

Is there anyone who may know when Regional event schedules for Region 5 are coming out? My coach says they're very similar to Frankenmuth Invitationals, and I have an event conflict in Invitationals.

So in region 10 two teams make state. The 2nd and 3rd place teams, Hastings and Hamilton, had the same score so it came down to the number of 1st places. Hastings had 7 and Hamilton only had 6 so Hastings was second and got to go to state. The first place team, Portage Central, was only like 3 points ahead of Hastings and Hamilton. I was keeping score for the whole awards ceremony and it came down to the very last event. It was intense!!

I found region 8's scoresheet.
Meads Mill only had 34 points.

If you're looking for B and your team was there last season (and maybe even if not, who knows?), write the State director(s). They have these documents and will happily send you a copy if they can.
