Image Gallery - Uploads for the 2012 Season

Now that all State competitions are over for the year, it's time to start adding photos of the devices you've built during the 2012 season!

To upload your photos, simply click on the image gallery icon on the top right corner of the screen. Then click on the event that you have photos for, and hit the 'upload' button in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Within a few days, your images will be posted to the gallery for the world to admire.

Of course, folks can also choose to wait until Nationals is over to start uploading images. It'd be great to get a head start though!

Are Invitational things worthy of being in the gallery?

Any photos that will help others design a device are welcome. Even if the device didn't "do well" in the conventional SO sense, these images are still welcome. There is still much that can be learned from not-so-good devices.

Aia, I plan on getting quite a few pictures from nationals for tower this year. Do I need to do something special to get them in the "best of nationals" gallery with places or should I upload them to the regular image gallery this season?

As far as I can tell, the image gallery is a database for ALL pictures. The additional wiki pages (like "Best of Nationals") are run by someone else, and they will probably pluck the pictures off the image gallery once they've been uploaded.

I would really appreciate it though if people could post any extra info with their pictures. For instance, having height/weight/mass held in the description box for towers would be great pieces of data.

If you do have pictures of Top 10 devices, definitely upload them to the image gallery and put like "Nationals 2012 5th place" as the image title or in the description or something. You can PM one of the staff and point out which images you uploaded are Top 10 if it isn't obvious by the titles. We don't want to accidentally miss any.
