Just curious, but does anyone know if it is possible to do recursion on excel? There are a lot of easy problems they could ask us that are virtually impossible without recursion (e.g. factorials, prime factorization, perfect number, etc.) I've talked to all the programmers at my school, as well as my computer science teacher, and none of them have come up with anything.
Any thoughts/solutions?

My memory wants to make me believe recursion can be used, but I haven't used it (at lease not that I remember). It seems to me that it should be possible.
A quick Google search for "Recursion in Excel" turned up several possibilities. The page at
http://faculty.wheelock.edu/dborkovitz/ ... k/alg3.htm may help to solve your examples.
