Does your school have drama when it comes to SO, deciding who should be captain who goes to nationals. Do you ever stop and ponder that we act very much like a cult?

Kansas has plenty of drama over who goes to nationals, except that it's between the teams, not between the members of one team. I've been around plenty of SO competitions and Debate/Forensics competitions that are similar in structure, and I'd say that we're more like a culture than a cult.
