Right then, I'll copy/paste this here, since it's more relevant:

I'll have an answer key up eventually, once I triple-check everything and verify answers with my guinea p- er, willing helper.

Feel free to PM me with any specific questions, comments, concerns, corrections, complaints, etc.

Reach for the Stars is an event dealing with stellar astronomy. In one part of it, you have to be able to identify constellations and individual stars given a star map or a planetarium projection. Then, there will be other questions relating to stellar classifications, stellar evolution, H-R Diagrams, and other such things. That's basically the gist of it.

Too bad i cant do this event, I am best at meteorology and it is at the same time as this event, since my state follows the national schedule

Meteorology and Stars DON'T conflict on the National Schedule. Stars, Forestry and Crime Busters conflict. Meteorology, Experimental Design and Aquifers also conflict. http://www.scienceolympiad2012.com/schedule.htm

This event is basically knowing Major Stars, constellations, variable stars, and stellar evolution. It is a very fun event I did it in 2009 and got 8th at nats and I can't wait for it to start again!!

When someone shows a constellation without connecting the stars, how do you know what it is? And what is stellar evolution and what are variable stars.
