Which is preferred, FF Heli Kit or JHA Hurricane Kit in Raw Performance
Hello, just wanted a quick opinion from those who have experience with the JHA Hurricane or the FF Heli for this season. I'm curious to know which is better for raw performance without considering the build diffuculty.

I do not have experience with the Hurricane. The FFM is the gold standard. The hurricane takes a different approach to filling the box, and as such has potential for higher performance.
However, the fact that Josh posted a strong warning on the Hurricane should not be taken lightly. This warning is not just about difficulty to build, but difficulty to get well trimmed flight. Basically he is saying it is very sensitive to very small structural errors. THis is due to a large rotor diameter coupled with a very short motor stick.
I doubt that you will have many people who have built both, and are willing to share their findings. The Hurricane certainly is a later offering, based on further experimentation. But, in SO you only get 10 minutes and two flights, so you have to be certain that small deviations will not zero your attempts.
If you are confident in your build capabilities, then I would recommend getting both and try them out yourself. Otherwise you really do not know how to judge someone else's experience, especially with the Hurricane. You will be flying your build, not someone else's (which may have been superb, or flawed).
