Laser reflection is spread out, would we calculate the mid point for points calculation

If the laser is spread out on the wall with the ruler, would the supervisors take the middle point of the spread out laser reflection while calculating points?

Yes, if the spot is smeared, the ES will estimate where the middle of the spot is. If the spot is split (which can happen if you hit the edge of a mirror), the ES will chose the spot with the most intensity. If the two spots are roughly equal, the ES will chose the one that is most favorable to your score.
