FF heli

Post by tacotacocat »

I have a strange issue with my FF heli, sometimes when hitting the ceiling too hard the needle will pierce through the thin disk, causing the disk to shatter/ pieces break off and have to be replaced. This will cause flight times to decrease around ~10 seconds. I believe this happens due to the ceiling not being perfectly flat (popcorn ceiling in my living room). Does anyone else have similar issues or is there a way to fix this?
maybe cracked at Flight

The only thing I can think is your pin is too long. The disk should have very little vertical motion on the pin. The head of the pin should be captured (top), and should not touch the disk on top when the disk is pushed down.
