Do people at your school know youre in science olympiad?

At my school, we barely get recognized and no one except the people that are in it know that we do science olympiad.
(We kind of try to keep it quiet since its not exactly cool to be in it. even though i love it)

and also, do you guys get a lot of publicity for doing science olympiad?

People know I'm in SciO (I just found out that a lot of kids talk about me and what I've done. These are people I have NEVER TALKED TO) but we get little publicity.

It's well-known that we do SciO, and we get mentioned on the announcements occasionally. The general populace is proud that we made it to nationals, and we get announced on the school's website.
So, yeah, our school is pretty supportive of Science Olympiad.

no one at our school really cares. plus its considered nerdy so i try to not let people know im in it.
and our principal made one announcement that after we won state for the 14th straight time that we won again and were competing at nats.
but thats all the publicity we get. no newspaper articles or anything like that

No, hardly any publicity at all for us...like the school not even mentioning that we went to States. (Note: They did announce and congratulate SciFair so they have no excuse.)

And the only reason I knew about SciO in the first place was that I knew someone in it. Hardly anyone knows/cares at my school, but I do make an effort to get people to know/care.

Oh, we don't get any newspaper articles... they just announced it on the school website (mistakenly saying that I'm in Astronomy, by the way), but that was about it. The majority of the honors kids know about us and since we're pretty successful, we're relatively well-known. Also, we were announced at an all-school awards ceremony.

Yeah, we are generally known around our school, but more as the crazy kids who come to school on Saturdays.

i hate how they ALWAYS announce and even have newspaper articles for things like sports (even though they finish like 8th in their tournament) they dont even care about us winning state.

We get school announcements, but not anything in the local paper. That bugs me.

We were in the Port Washington News, and we were also invited to a Board of Education meeting where we got some coolio certificates.
