Spring Launcher Help

Hello, I am attempting to make a spring launcher however I am having trouble with the locking mechanisms that go along with it. Does anyone have any resources that may be helpful? I've looked on youtube a few times, however, nothing similar ever comes out. Anything would be helpful, please, and thank you
