Rules question

My bridge was placed in “division 2” (meaning I’m eligible to earn points but not to place) this past weekend of our competition. I was wondering why, the judge said because it had to be in the Team C contact zones. After re-reading the rules it says you simply cannot touch the division B contact zones or leave division C contact zones. My bridge design was very skinny so it would fit in just one of the team C contact zones and should not have been disqualified for ranking purposes. Am I misunderstanding how the rules worked for that division and if I am not is there a way to challenge the results?
