FSR consistency

I'm using the the ADA 1075 fsr and I keep getting super inconsistent readings. Is there anything to stop inconsistent readings or is it just the sensor?

I have been having the same issues with the same sensor. I get consistant-ish results when i test them in that moment but when i come back to try again later its just terribly off. I have heard that load cells may be a better choice for this competition.

Yeah me too. It's a pain using FSRs, especially when the force-to-resistance ratio isn't linear.
Curiously, when I leave the weight on the sensor, the weight starts creeping upwards. Any of you notice that happening too?

I've also seen the values start to rise once the weight is applied. It was enough for us to light up the correct LEDs, but I think strain gauges are the best way to go for accurate measurements.
This Arduino forum post seems to indicate that that's just what happens with FSRs.
