So my team is thinking of using a FSR and we were looking for ones that fit the rules (8cm diameter) but there are none on amazon that are that big. Anyone have any resources or new/better design ideas.

So you don't need a force sensor that big. If you look at my post, it is legal to add extra stuff if they are passive. Just put something on the force sensor, then place a larger platform on top to concentrate the force onto a smaller area.

In addition, student built load cells are legal. You can look up designs for load cells on the internet.
