Hello, can someone share the rubric for EWS here ? We have been hearing that there are multiple versions and it’s confusing. Want to make sure that we are looking at the most updated one.

Note that if your event is remotely administered, some items may change, be added, or removed based on what the ES publishes ahead of the event. In some cases, the flying events are trialed due to difficulty in getting gym time for some schools. In other cases some things like bonuses may be waived, or the procedure may be changed (such as no 8-minute flight window), etc. So if remote, be sure to read any instructions from the ES.

Rubric might be a little strong for the linked document. It is a convenient checklist for the ES to keep track of the evaluation of the plane against the rules, and the score, but it is doesn't really tell you HOW to make some of those determinations. But it is a good start and you should self evaluate your planes against that checklist for sure. It is also NOT the rules, any conflict between the checklist and the rules or FAQs and this checklist loses. Though if you think there are such disconnects, the national organization would appreciate you pointing them out for consideration.

WITH of course the caution Coach Chuck made that YOUR tournament may have modifications to the rules for a variety of reasons. That checklist is to the national rules as we expect to run the national tournament.

And as Coach Chuck has mentioned, look for some suggestions/ideas to be posted to the national site on the EWS and WS event pages for how to check your plane against the rules during a video tournament.
