Thanks for starting the thread! I'm super excited for Forestry to hopefully come in! Never got to compete in it during my time in school due to how long the Biology rotations are. Hopefully I'll get to write for it!

quite excited for the return of fast facts! i remember doing it for the first time 4ish years ago and being terrified and hoped that they would accept the word "mushroom" for the m category of types of mushrooms :)

Another year of codebusters... oop. I guess it was expected though, since they continued it past the normal rotation this year.

Thankfully!

In all seriousness Road Scholar is one of my faves but I'm biased as I have a geography background. I seem to recall in the tentative rules a few years ago (or last year?) Road was not listed but then it appeared on the final roster. I'm aware many people think it's outdated or not up with modern technology or whatever but I'm still a big fan (I am well aware I'm in the minority).

I also recall hearing people say many years ago that when the US Army or whatever sponsored scioly they wanted Road Scholar as an event to encourage map reading as a skill.

To chime in, I think map reading is an important skill (what if you rely on Google Maps to get you everywhere and your phone dies?). That said, I think a lot of the grievances of the event are that it has stagnated. The event has been exactly the same for the last long, long time. If there was an emphasis placed in some area of geography or if there were more added to the event I think the consensus opinion of it would be better.

Unless I'm just a fool and don't know what I'm talking about, which is quite possible to be honest.

anatomy and physiology is on a rotation, so it will be respiratory system, immune system and digestive system.

Forestry is coming!! Would have loved to do it my senior year, but alas, rules replay. Anyway, I'll hopefully find some comps to ES for.

Edit: Screenshot I took was tiny and fuzzy.
