Riddle One: You have a barrel of oil, and you need to measure out just one gallon. How do you do this if you only have a three-gallon container and a five-gallon container?

Right this topic is redundant, and exactly what we meant when we asked you guys to stop making so many topics.
Still I like riddles so:
1.Measure out 5 gallons in the 5 gallon container: 0 - 5
2. use that 5 gallons to pour 3 gallons into the other container 3 - 2
3. Dump out the 3 gallon container 0 - 2
4. Pour from the 5 gallon to the 3 gallon 2 - 0
5. Re fill the 5 gallon container 2 - 5
6. Pour from 5 gallon into the 3 gallon until full 3 - 4
7. Pour out the 3 gallon container 0 - 4
8. Pour from the 4 gallon to the 3 gallon 3 - 1
The 5 gallon container will have 1 gallon at that point.

There is a riddles thread. You should post the riddles there, instead of claiming a whole thread for yourself, which can be easily interpreted as "I'm better than you so I should get my own thread instead of posting in the thread I should be posting in." Extremely arrogant.

While I agree, Bubba has already asked for the thread to be locked, and it would be very easy to miss the Riddles thread (which is a page back).
