All right, let's get next year started.....

As of now, and entirely dependent on COVID-19, the following tournaments will be tentatively in-person. Please realize that these are the ones where I'm directly involved. I'm writing here for NO other tournaments other then the ones mentioned below!

If any SO alumni from ANY school want to help out at any of these either by test writing, proctoring, grading, supervising - plz contact BroNiSciGuy @bronigel@kellenberg.org.

The 3 tourneys below will be held at Kellenberg Mem HS, Uniondale, NY on Long Island.

LISO VIII Invitational on Jan. 8th, 2022. Both Div. B and Div. C. Field will be limited to a reasonable # that the facility and volunteers can handle. Size TBD. The website will be updated in a few days.

Nassau West SO Div. C Rgnl Tournament on Feb. 5th, 2022.

Nassau SO Div. B Rgnl Tournament on March 12th, 2022.

Division C: March 18-19, 2022 @ Le Moyne College, Syracuse, NY
Division B: April 8-9, 2022 @ East Syracuse Minoa Central High School, East Syracuse, NY
In-person*, all 23 events + 1 Trial Event: Robot Tour

*all depending on the COVID-19 pandemic

Have there been any updates regarding the 2022 LISO Invitational? Thanks!

The Nassau West Region is looking for some local SciOly College (or beyond) Alums to help run some events at the Regional Tournament being held at Kellenberg Mem HS in Uniondale, NY on Saturday, Feb. 5th. As of now we are planning to be in-person and running all 23 events. We have 38 teams participating from 21 local high schools. Generally we have the coaches be the ES for the events, but 7 schools have brand new coaches who are hesitant to volunteer because they are not sure what to do.

The Test and Lab events are written so no test writing needs to be done and for the sign-up events, Kellenberg has most of the equipment needed.

We are looking for ES for Chem Lab, Detector Building, Exp Dsgn, Ping Pong Parachute, Remote Sensing, Trajectory, WiFi Lab, Wright Stuff and WIDI.

Seems like very few regional scoresheets are publicly available, which is kind of weird - usually they are posted on this site almost as soon as awards are over. Does anyone have results from the tournaments which have run so far?

Nassau West had an online awards ceremony which is linked here, but I'll share anyway lol (bold is state qualification), I believe lowest three events were dropped from each team's score

Note scores are on Scilympiad but tournament was held in person.

St. Joe's, Williamsville North, Williamsville East, Lewiston-Porter, and Amherst advance to states.

This was one of, if not the closest, tournaments in this region I've seen in the 12 years I've been involved as a volunteer/ES/coordinator. Only five points separated first and third.

Anyone have nassau east regional results? I believe a spreadsheet and results have been out
