Riddles

NOT being religious here but here is a riddle:
What is greater than God... more evil than the devil... the poor have it... the rich need it... and if you eat it you will die?
...feel free to discuss it here, but if you figure it out, please don't post the answer. Let other people have the fun.
Don't google it either, unless you want to spoil your own fun.

EDIT: Sorry... I didn't read what EpicFail had posted about not posting the answer... So I'll post the answer it little tiny print if you want it, but don't read it if you don't want to know:
Nothing... nothing is greater than God, nothing is more evil than the devil, the poor have nothing, the rich need nothing, and if you eat nothing you will die.

How about this one: A man comes home and finds Fred and Nancy on the ground, writhing in pain and fear, with broken glass and water all around them. His cat, Doodle, is prancing anxiously around them. What happened?

Answer: Fred and Nancy are fish. The cat knocked over their fishbowl.

Alright, here's one.
A man is found dead, lying on his face in a large field. He was wearing a backpack which was full of cloth and he had a ring around his finger. There was nobody else around, and he had not killed himself. How did he die?

And no, I didn't google it, nor have I heard it before, but the answer was pretty obvious...
