Hello all!

I am pleased to announce the 4th Annual Marquette University High School Invite. The invite will be taking place on Saturday, March 20th, 2021.

Following the Wisconsin rules a full 28 events will be competed. This also means the 5 lowest placed events will be dropped (not counted towards score). Additionally, a time block system will be adopted to allow teams with different state schedules to compete without conflicts. Hopefully this means everyone will be able to compete their desired events.

Registration for the meet can be found on the scilympiad page under the following link: https://scilympiad.com/wi-muhs.

Our hope is to get as many students and teams safely involved in Science Olympiad as possible. We aim to make this tournament fun and inclusive for everyone involved. Further information will be released soon!

Thanks,
Zach

If I can clarify, 28 events will be competed in the MiniSO meet, and 30 events will be held in the SatelliteSO meet (Digital Structures in the mini, Boomilever, Ping Pong Parachute, and Wright Stuff in the satellite) The lowest 5 places will be dropped in the mini, while the lowest 7 will be dropped in the satellite. SatelliteSO and MiniSO meets will be held with the same high-quality tests, but will have separate awards ceremonies.

Currently, we have 59 total schools signed up, from 19 different states. These teams are a wide variety of competitive strengths, so there is something here for everyone! We would love to have more signups, and the Marquette invite is a great late-season invite to prepare for state tournaments!
