Welcome to the 2021 season, everyone! Let's hope this year is as good as... 2019, I guess.

General Information
The Missouri website has been updated yet again, and is now found at https://www.missouriso.org/. Update your bookmarks, y'all. The Scilympiad website also appears to have been updated with some information about this season's tournaments, providing a little insight into when and where tournaments are going to be run.

Invitational Tournaments
None (yet!)

Regional Tournaments
Dates will be posted as they are available. Region 4 appears to still exist despite having been dissolved for the 2020 season, with a tournament director and location being listed on the website. All regional tournaments and the state tournament will be taking place in the Satellite format, with build events being left to the discretion of the tournament director.

Region 1 (B): Northwest Missouri State University - TBA
Region 1 (C): North Central Missouri College - February 13th, 2021
Region 2: Truman State University - February 27th, 2021
Region 3: William Jewell College - TBA
Region 4: Warrensburg High School - TBA
Region 5: Missouri S&T - TBA
Region 6 (B): Ladue Middle School - TBA
Region 6 (C): Lindenwood University - TBA
Region 7: Missouri State University - February 27th, 2021
Region 8: Southeast Missouri State University - TBA

State Tournament
Westminster College - April 10th, 2021

EDIT 9/13/20: The state tournament date listed on the Scilympiad page is April 10th, 2021.
EDIT 10/20/20: My coach informed me that the Region VII tournament will be in the Satellite format on February 27th, 2021. If anyone has any other information about other regional tournaments, feel free to let me know.
EDIT 10/26/20: Warrensburg High School will host the Region 4 tournament, according to the Scilympiad page. This is a departure from 2019 (when it was hosted last), when it was hosted at the University of Central Missouri. Miscellaneous information in this post has been updated to reflect what we currently know about the state of affairs.
EDIT 11/9/20: According to the state website, a unanimous decision was reached and all tournaments (regional and state) will be proceeding in the Satellite format.

Clayton High School is hosting an Invitational! The date if February 6, 2021. It will follow the miniSO model for the 19 miniSO events, and we are offering the possibility to submit Satellite scores for builds events which won't be factored into full-team scoring, for equity reasons. Team scoring will be calculated from the 19 miniSO events.
If your school is interested in possibly signing up, please email adambergeron@claytonschools.net (our head coach)
If you want more information, please email claytonscienceolympiad@gmail.com
We look forward to seeing you guys (virtually)!

Hey Missouri Science Olympians!
I would like to announce a new trial event that will be held for both Division B and C at the Missouri State Tournament: Agribio! This event encompasses agricultural science as well as ecology and soil science. For those interested in participating, the rules are up on the Missouri State Website and are linked here: https://www.missouriso.org/state-tourna ... tgw3dq2zoh
Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments about the event, and I wish you all luck competing this season!

MO Region 6 Results:

Division B:
1. Ladue
2. Wydown
3. Franklin
4. Union

Division C:
1. Ladue
2. Lindbergh
3. Clayton
4. Marquette

Only four teams competed in B, and John Burroughs didn't compete in C. All teams competing this year in MO regionals can send one team to the state competition. This tournament was held 2/27/2021 and results came out half a week later.

I have a student scilympiad account and thus can't view full results - Jaspattack or someone else do you have this capability?

All regional results have been posted by the state director on the Missouri state website (missouriso.org). I plan on uploading them to the wiki over the course of the next week, since I'll finally be on spring break.

I was surprised that John Burroughs didn't compete this year, but I can also understand why. It certainly hasn't been an easy year for anyone, so it's reasonable that they might sit out. It's good to see you on the forums again, though!

Yes, I got my regional medals around the time of the state competition and I got my state medals at the end of May around the time I graduated.
