Think Different The 11th: Gas Gas Gas
The Rules:
1. You have 10 questions that you try to guess a correct answer for.
2. The catch is that the goal is to get the fewest number of points. The way you earn points is for each correct answer you give, you will earn the number of points equal to the number of people who guessed that answer. So, for instance, if your answer to Question 1 is Thomas Jefferson and 3 other people guessed that answer, you would earn 4 points for that question (1 for yours and 3 for the others). If you get the answer wrong, you earn the number of points equal to the number of participants plus 5 points (i.e. if there are 13 participants, you get 18 points). The best attainable score is 10 points.
3. There are two bonuses you could use to replace an answer: DROP and SHEEP. DROP means you earn 1 point for that question. SHEEP means you earn the number of points equal to the answer that the most people answered. So for instance, if the correct answers were A, B, C, and D, and 7 people guessed A, 6 people guessed B, 3 people guessed C, and 2 people guessed D, then the people who said SHEEP would earn 7 points for the answer (your SHEEP doesn't count as an answer and doesn't affect the others' scores). You get only 1 of each bonus if you so choose to use them. It is advised that you use DROP before SHEEP. Again, you don't have to use either of these bonuses.
4. PM me your responses by Sunday, 5 September, 23:00 (11:00PM) CDT. Any answers PMed after that point will not be considered.
5. Make sure not to cheat, please. Cheating is defined as letting other users know what your answers are before the deadline is reached. For this game, you may use any sources to find your answers (i.e. the wiki, Google, etc.).
6. Users can change their answers before the due date arrives, but after the due date, answers may not be changed.

Re: Think Different The 11th: Gas Gas Gas
Questions:
1) Name one brand of mass-produced car that falls under the MoPar brand (what people commonly refer to as a MoPar car/truck). Must be a mainstream brand.
2) Name one variety of Chevrolet LS Small Block. Prefix must be LS.
3) Name one letter from the acronym NASCAR
4) Name a Major Subsidiary of NASCAR.
5) List one of the numbers of cylinders you’d see in a car. Any car/truck/race car is applicable. (i.e V8, V6).
6) List a use of ethanol. Be specific.
7) List one of the ways that ethanol can react. Ethanol must be a reactant, not a product.
8) Provide one Race Sanctioning body (i.e NASCAR) where the tires are provided by Hoosier Tire Company.
9) Name one of the classes sanctioned by WISSOTA Auto Racing.
10) Name one driver currently in the top 6 in points in the World of Outlaws Late Model tour.
Apologies on the misinformation, but Sunday is actually the 6th. The game will close on the 6th at 11pm CST.

Re: Think Different The 11th: Gas Gas Gas
CLARIFICATION: For question 8 I'm looking for only current sanctioning bodies, not defunct sanctioning bodies. They must have had at least 1 race sanctioned in 2020.

Re: Think Different The 11th: Gas Gas Gas
Alright! I was hoping to get more submissions, as I only got 3, but I'm gonna call the game.
Won't bother with clues, as there's a three way tie for first (Things2Do, Tails, Hugo). All scored 12.

All answers 1-9 were different for the 3 of you. You ALL wrote Ricky Weiss, the Canadian for number 10. Edit: Thought you submitted S for number 3? If not you'd lose.Things2do wrote: ↑September 11th, 2020, 5:43 pm1: Dodge. 2: LSA 3: Fred Jones 4: Sheep 5: 1 {Jr. Dragsters use a single-cylinder engine.} 6: Drinking to pass the time on a road trip. Re: Think Different The 11th: Gas Gas Gas
I was reusing my literal interpretation of the clue from the "Name one of..." question from a few games ago that I started answering but never finished... Technically, I did name one of the letters. In fact, I named it after the default driver in NASCAR Racing 2002 and 2003 as a little Easter Egg, although I doubt if anyone here caught it.BennyTheJett wrote: ↑September 11th, 2020, 5:50 pmAll answers 1-9 were different for the 3 of you. Edit: I found it. It was for question 9 in game 9.
