Does Herricks Middle School Have A Science Olympiad Team
I wanted to know if they had a team. If so how do I contact them and what are the coaches names?

After a little google searching:
- Yes, they do have a scioly team.
- I can't find the coaches, but if you attend Herricks Middle School you could probably easily find out by asking other students or possibly emailing a counselor.

I personally would contact a counselor at the school - they're likely to know about the clubs and groups that the school offers, and could potentially connect you with a coach. Good luck with your quest for information

Re: Does Herricks Middle School Have A Science Olympiad Team
By the looks of it, Herricks MS (Albertson, NY) would attend the Western Long Island Regional, and they are not on the 2020 spreadsheet (in the NY thread).
"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12
I have no regrets.

Re: Does Herricks Middle School Have A Science Olympiad Team
Herricks MS last fielded a SO team during the 2013-2014 school year. Actually they brought 3 teams to the Div. B Regional competition that year, placing 26th, 27th, and 39th in a field of 40 teams from 25 schools.
Herricks HS, on the other hand, did field 3 teams this year (1st time they had a 3rd team!). Their best team placed 14th/34 tms from 16 schools. They have participated in SO for at least 30 years in a row, since 1991. Possibly longer - data before then is sketchy.
The HS competes in the Nassau West Div. C region, while the MS team - as Tailsfan 101 stated - would participate in the Western Long Island Div. B region.
If you want to start up a team, I would encourage you to contact the Herricks School District's Science Chair, or ask your science teacher to do so. Feel free to PM me if you want additional info/help.
