I've compiled a list of all events run at national tournaments from 1984-2021. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0)
A total of 174 events were run nationally.
The longest running event that's been running in the same division (or both divisions), without name changes, is Chem Lab, which has been run since 1987.

I've also (someone successfully?) color coded each "set" of events into categories by cycle. Check the second sheet for details ("Sorted by Cycle").

I will update the past event rotations wiki page accordingly when I have time.

I think the loneliest event by far is Chemical ID, with only 1 year being run (2004), also I don't know but kite flying has no years shown as well. To be fair, I can see their being issues with both of these events to only be run so little.

Perhaps kite flying turned into circuit lab or Meteorology severe storms /s

Whoa, this is impressive. sciolyperson1, how were you able to find out the names of such old events? I had thought they'd been forever lost in the depths of spacetime and entropy, but it's good to see you could find them.

I mean, all the past national tournament results and events are available on soinc.org. You just need to manually type out all the events, since they are scanned copies.

https://www.soinc.org/sites/default/fil ... tory_0.pdf

Many event names you couldn't find (Water, Water Everywhere) is listed as "Water Everywhere", but soinc still has their pages up.

I also want to add that the ehistory pdf is not entirely accurate, there are many discrepancies between that and nationals results.
