Mousetrap snapping

Mousetrap snapping

When I go to run my vehicle the mousetrap is snapping and it causes my fishing line to jump, not slowly unwind. Any hints on what I may be doing wrong?

I suspect your vehicle is too light and your wheels are skidding at the very beginning. that would explain the fishing line jumping as you mentioned
