If the vehicle goes over the finish line and then recoils very near to the mark, is this a DQ or is it a good score?

There is no penality for going over the line. And recoils are not optimal as the time score does not stop till your car does. But if you end up on the line at the center of the track then yes, thats a good score. And the primary objective of the event...

And do you know what would happen if the front point of the car, the extender arm, extends over the line 4 cm? Is the measured distance from the line 4 cm? Or would this be a DQ?

Where are you seeing anything about 4cm? If you have not, it would be beneficial to read the rules.

The front of your car needs a wood dowel. That is the point that needs to be on the start line and the point where they measure to at the center of the finish line. Your killrod can be any length and extend beyond the front of your car.

Thank you for replying. The 4 cm was an example. Basically, what if the car goes X cm from the target point. Does this X cm matter if it's before the line, after the line (i.e. the car goes X too far), or even right or left? The rules do not state this. I am guessing, then, that going X cm too far is not a DQ.

You are correct, your car could be long, short, left, or right, with no dq. They will measure the distance from your wood dowel to the center line of the target distance.

Check out on the rules Scoring f as well as construction and competition violations. It explains the only ways your car can get tiered.
