I am having problems with the dowel hitting the bottom of the ramp as it travels down and also hitting the ground. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it in front of the front wheel?

From what I've read and experimented with, all that you can do is move your wheels forward or increase the angle of incidence of your ramp relative to the floor. Unfortunately, both involve partially rebuilding what you've already done.

Thank you for your suggestions! I am currently moving the wheel forward and it seems to be working!
