Starting off with an easy one:

What are the different parts of an amino acid, and which part gives different amino acids different properties?

Alpha Carbon, attached to it are Amino Group, Carboxyl group, Hydrogen atom, and “R” group. The R group gives the amino acids different properties

Describe the chirality of an amino acid. Include whether amino acids exist as D- or L-isomers.

All amino acids are chiral except for glycine because the side chain is hydrogen. Amino acids exist as L isomers (fischer projection)
