Air powered launcher

Post by ms74coach »

Hello, my team needs to test out their designs. Does anyone know of an air powered launcher to purchase? or instructions to make one? TIA

These instructions are for a pretty good design. If you can't find the #3 stopper at a hardware store, try a home brewing store. The rest of the parts you can get at Lowe's or Home Depot.

I'm partial to it over the PVC and zip-tie launcher - the release mechanism is less finicky.

The Model Z from Nerds Inc should be the standard launcher for most tournaments. https://www.nerdsinc.com/products/model-z

I don't think I ordered the right launcher. Would this not work?

Yes, I use this and it works great. Only thing is it's hard to pin down when launching in a gym, so we just have someone press the button on the launcher to launcher instead of pulling the string to trigger it.
