I made a chrome extension as a bandaid for the problems the forum upgrade had, as well as adding some stuff!

The extension as of now:

*As of today (9/22/19), Google has unpublished 1.1.4 due to "false advertising". Version 1.0.2 is still available, but use the bookmarklet if you need an image proxy*

+ Added bookmarklet code (instructions)
+ Added image proxy if imgur is blocked

+ Adds Infinite Scrolling
* Fixes Quotes
+ Adds click to warp (if you click on a quote, it will scroll you up to the quote)
* Fixes hide boxes.


If you cannot install chrome extensions on your computer, I'm working on making it a bookmark you can use tomorrow.

Very nice job! My school blocked extensions but I'll definitely use the bookmark when it comes out. I have some suggestions you could try implementing but not sure how much of the formats you can change on scioly.org since it runs on a specific forum program.

It's not as convenient as the extension, but it works. You do need to click on it per page you want it to activate on, but at least you can use it! I also added a proxy for images into that too (in case your school blocks imgur or something else).

Also, the infinite scroll seemed to load all the posts on a topic once and on another instance, it seemed to only load one page of posts at a time. Thoughts on why perhaps?

Newest post links will manually set a start point, perhaps this is your problem.

It loads the next up to 15 posts at a time (max once every 2.5 seconds), so the servers (and your browser) don't get overwhelmed. In some cases, there are less than 15 posts so it just loads all of them.

@Unome: I believe it worked with manually set start points, send me a link if it doesn't work!

The method I was proxying the requests (via duckduckgo) wasn't working too well, so I'm setting up my own proxy server right now.

The bookmarklet now supports proxying of all images, and there's no need to update your bookmark!

Bookmarklet should have very little issues compared to the extension, and actually updates quicker (it takes a day for an extension to update).

I set up an image proxy through Cloudflare's workers, so I can always automatically change the domain if it gets blocked at your school. There is a limit of 100k free worker responses/day, but I don't think we will hit that.

Can you go to https://sci-oly.eggs.workers.dev/?u=htt ... om/640/400 and let me know what you see? If that's blocked, I'll have to find another solution. If you see a cat, there are probably other problems.
