2020 Princeton Invitational

Post by AWildMudkip »

Hello friends! Our 4th annual Princeton University Science Olympiad Invitational will be on Saturday, Februray 8th, 2020! Registration will be open on Monday, September 16th 5PM EST, and all info can be found at http://scioly.princeton.edu

We are committed to providing accessible STEM opportunities for all. Thus, we are continuing to waive the participation fee for all teams in the hopes that teams will be able to attend our invitational and other competitions without any financial obstacles. As before, registration is on a first-come first-serve basis and only the first eight schools (this will likely change to ten, so stay tuned!) to register requesting two teams will receive two slots for the tournament. Teams will be placed on a waitlist in chronological order after the 56 initial teams have registered.

Key features of this year’s tournament include:
- All 23 Division C National events will be run in accordance to the official event rules. Additionally, this invitational will follow the 2020 National Tournament schedule conflicts (so you will be able to run your nationals lineup).
- Tests will be written by experienced Science Olympiad alumni and all events will be reviewed and revised by our executive board for quality.
- Coaches will not be required to write tests or volunteer in any capacity.
- Tests and solutions with raw score statistics will be made available to competing teams following the tournament.

Andy Xu aka AWildMudkip (2022) and Nicole Meister (2022) will direct the 2020 tournament with last year’s directors, June-Ho Park and Linus Wang, taking on advisory roles.

We hope to see you all in February! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at scioly@princeton.edu. We will be posting updates to our Invite on Facebook, this thread, and our website.

Sincerely,
Princeton University Science Olympiad
