Screen Watching :: Good or Bad?

So we all have played video games at some point in our life, and I'm sure that a lot of people have felt cheated when instead of only watching their own screen, your opponent watches your screen as well, so they know if you are about to shoot them, or what item you have in your possession that you are capable of shooting at them (i.e. the game Crash Nitro Cart).

As we can see in the image above, some people think that watching both screens is ok, but that can be a huge advantage sometimes. Do you consider this cheating, or do you think it is ok since the TV is there and that there isn't a GASWSS*?

Thank you in advance for all your votes // responses // opinions.

With all due respect,

(This should be in the polling section soon as well so be sure to vote there, I'd like to hear written out responses here though, justifying your thought about this topic.)

My personal opinion is that its perfectly fine. The screen is in your view and on the TV screen therefore you should be perfectly able to watch it. Besides if its there wow do you stop people from watching it or glancing at it?

I don't think that it's cheating at all.

If two people are working together on the same console in an online co-op match, it sets their team at a slight advantage.

Well, it's not cheating by my definition, there's nothing unfair about it. Both parties can do it, so it's not unfairly favoring one person.

It's fine because both people can do it and, let's use the kart racing game example, watching both screens distracts you, so there is a greater chance of crashing. In a shooter game, for example, you could tell where the opponent was sniping from etc, with no risk of crashing like with a racing game, but it's still ok.

Well, screen watching prevents the game being played as its meant, and it can prove an unfair advantage in some situations (I know both people have access to screen watching, but sometimes giving your position away to your opponet is worse than him/her giving his/her position to you).

Some screen watching comes without meaning too, and thats alright, just don't use it to your advantage (for example, if you see someone sneaking up behind you in halo that you wouldn't otherwise, let them kill you).
