According to the wiki,

Division B:
1. Clinton Middle School (53)
2. GREEN Charter School (111)

Division C:
1. Academic Magnet High School (113)
2. May River High School (152)

Clinton HS didn't win, and it looks like they got 7th at regionals... maybe something happened to their team?

That screams loss of a coach to me. Coaches aren't as impactful in C as they are in B, but they can still have a significant influence, especially on a team that typically qualifies for nationals. To me that is the most logical explanation by far.
