MTV Rule 3.D Clarification

Rule 3.D states,"Electric/electronic components and devices are not permitted," under construction parameters. Does this rule only apply to vehicle itself or objects/utilities used to help with the running of the mouse trap such as an aiming device.

No electric aiming devices. It's been mentioned several times in the forums, I think.

it says non-electric? I'd assume they also mean non-electronic as well.
