States is on March 16th, 2019.
You may be wondering why I'm making a West Virginia thread, but according to their website, "Unfortunately, we do not have any teams registered in Div. B (division for Middle School), thus we are canceling Div. B this year. Our apologies about cancelling Div. B events. We will open Div. B again next year." What state will get this Div B. bid?

Re: West Virginia 2019
Which state gets the bid will depend on which has the next most Division B teams, which will be available in about a month or so when team number assignments for nationals are released. Based on the team numbers at last year's national tournament, the three states that would be next in line are 1. Missouri, 2. Tennessee, 3. Washington.

Makes sense - I think it's going to be a close race between MO and TN, as registration numbers have definitely dropped for MO.John Richardsim wrote:Which state gets the bid will depend on which has the next most Division B teams, which will be available in about a month or so when team number assignments for nationals are released. This is my thought as well - Tennessee has grown noticeably in recent years.dxu46 wrote:Makes sense - I think it's going to be a close race between MO and TN, as registration numbers have definitely dropped for MO.John Richardsim wrote:Which state gets the bid will depend on which has the next most Division B teams, which will be available in about a month or so when team number assignments for nationals are released.
