what problems have you been having, your motor doesnt need to be that high speed. If ur wheels are like 3-5 inhes, a motor with maybe around 500 to 700 rpm is good enough. If ur motor is too quick, then the buggy will have problems stopping

Well, I was having trouble finding a moto that actually spins our wheels, as our buggy is around 1 -2 pounds, and our current motor is not pushing the car at all.

if ur having trouble finding motors that can turn your wheels, maybe ur wheels are too heavy. Anyway, there some motors on servocity.com that you could check out.

My bvuggy was pretty heavy last year, and I still managed to get a really good time with a Pololu 25D motor. It was 12V.

You can change your wheel size

I think his(?) biggest problem is torque, not speed. Wheels wouldn't really help with a torque issue, I think. But yeah if you want more speed, try larger wheels

Decreasing your wheel size would definitely help because smaller wheels require less torque to rotate. It would probably be easier to do instead of altering your circuit in my opinion.

That's true, but you also sacrifice on speed. Getting a more powerful motor is the better option.

i agree with madcow, it's definitely better to get a motor with higher torque rather than changing the wheel size, and it's also more expensive to change out the wheels, especially if you're using banebots wheels
