I'm looking for events to do and this one sounds interesting.

What do you guys average. I know my group of three average around 14/15. High is 18.

This was posted in the PA 2009 thread about how teams did in PA at the State tournement.
I wish my team had done better than 4 words.

For Picture This the list of words have been posted with the other sample Picture This words.
The following are the ranks and number of words correct. Tie breakers between teams have not been shown.
1st place-21 words
2nd place-18 words
3rd place-14 words
4th place-13 words
5th place-11 words
6th place to 8th place-9 words
9th place to 10th place-8 words
11th place to 12th place-7 words
13th place-6 words
14th place- 5 words
15th place to 22nd place-4 words
23rd place to 29th place-3 words
30th place to 33rd place-2 words
34th place-1 words
35th team was a No Show
I wish my team had done better than 4 words.

Just outta curiosity, did anything change from last year rules. I really wouldn't know what they would change if they changed anything.

The bolded parts of the rules include that the supervisor will provide writing implements (dunno why this one is necessary), and that words may be broken into parts unrelated to the term. Apparently examples of the latter are given on the website; last year, the national website's FAQ clarified that breaking words into unrelated parts was indeed allowed. Also bolded is that the words will be selected from the six content areas of Science Olympiad, whatever those are.andrewbji wrote:Just outta curiosity, did anything change from last year rules.
