Building Event Prediction Contest

Post by EastStroudsburg13 »

While we're waiting for the full Prediction Contest to open, here's a new little thing I'm trying out. Building events get a lot of scrutiny because of how time-intensive and spectator-friendly they are, as evidenced by the activity levels in their respective subforums. Therefore, here's a chance to allow users to show off a deeper knowledge of the national scene in these events beyond picking just one team.

Rules are located within the form. There is only one form, but if you only want to fill out one of the two divisions, you can do that! The form will guide you through the process. I'll try to set up a Google Sheet where the teams being picked can be monitored.

Have fun and happy picking!

Yeah I was thinking that too but wasn't sure how quickly I'd be able to get ahold of the winning scores for all the events. Perhaps down the road someone can set that up. ;)

About when will the spreadsheet be set up?

Probably tomorrow. And resubmitting is allowed, but at some point I will enable editing submissions to make it easier.

So is the tiebreaker like the sum of the overall scores for the top two teams in Division C or Division B??

Link to current picks

The spreadsheet is set up so that each pick is weighted the same, whether they were picked first or sixth. If there is interest in weighting this so that picks for first are weighted more, let me know.

It would be interesting if someone held an anonymous poll where everyone put their PR for their build scores and then each team is ranked against each other in placing but their scores arent shown.
