Cow481 thinks 3200-3600... I would say that's about right.

if you look at the scores, pictures, videos thread, people are barely getting over 3000, if even. I will predict top 2-4 teams will get over 3000, the others in the 2400-3000 range.

The people that actually post on this forum make up a very small and unrepresentative sample of those attending nationals. From my experience and what I know about many of those that come from the best teams, those people typically lurk these forums, but almost never post. Additionally I know of at least 3-4 teams that have gotten over 3000 and I barely follow Towers so I think its safe to say there are probably about >12 capable of scoring above 3000 (though not all are attending nationals)

I think this is pretty accurate, but Id adjust it slightly:
1: 3600
2: 3400
3-7: 3000+
8-10: 2700+
11-15: 2300+
16-20: 1800+
21-30: 1300+

1st: 3400+
2nd: 3300+
3rd to 6th: 3000+
7th to 15th: 2500 to 3000
15th to 30th: 2000 to 2500
I'm in Division B, but I would think this is reasonable for Division C. windu can you check it over?

I was pretty surprised that in PA States, the first place was only 1920, and if I got the bonus, which i missed by like a millimeter, I would have gotten over that...so that kinda sucks

Anyway, i don’t think it will take something like 3000 to place at nats.

Gelinas was OP at towers before, they scored 3900. But they scored 500 lower than that at nats. There were at least 15 teams last year that scored over 3k, but10th place got 2600, and only the top
4 scored over 3k.
Another big issue is transportation.
Would you build the tower there and bring the wood, or build the tower here, and transport the tower? Either way, there are issues. There's no way I'm going to put my tower in the check-in luggage, and my tower doesn't fit as a carry on (either that or it's really really tight). If someone drives it there, I wouldn't trust them with a fragile tower being driven in 80 degree temperatures and being left outside during the night.
