League Change Question

So, say that a team enrolls in league (A) for regionals for some reason, for example, they don't want a rival team to compare their scores or whatever and they want to switch to league (AA) for states so that they can compete against them, are they allowed to do so or are they stuck in league (A) for the season or can they perform the switch?

We need a little more information before being able to answer the question. From the description (AA/A), I presume you're in Illinois?
