Well, I am here to tell you that you don't need to be sad anymore because... registration for the United States Earth Science Olympiad (USESO) is now open (until April 10, 2018)! You can register at useso.org. If you do well on the open exam, you can qualify for the camp (just like with every other science olympiad), which is held at the University of Vermont in late June. The camp is where the four people who will represent the USA at the International Earth Science Olympiad (2018 is in Thailand) are chosen.

If you're still not convinced, fun little factoid, there have been 7 people from the past two years' teams alone that have been accepted into Stanford. Just saying. Soooo consider giving it a shot! There are some resources/study guides available at useso.org as well.

Also spread the word to any friends who might be interested!
