When will the eclipse be in your hometown?

Post by meierfra »

I found this great website that tells you when the eclipse will be anywhere in the country. https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/@4995514
For example, in Haslett, Michigan the eclipse will

Begin at 1:00 pm
Peak at 2:24 pm
End at 3:45 pm
with a peak magnitude of 83%

I think we're going to try and have a viewing party/picnic.

When will the eclipse be in your hometown?

Tell me you're going where it'll be 100%.

I'm at a place that has this coverage:

Begins: Mon, Aug 21, 2017 at 9:01 am Countdown
Maximum: Mon, Aug 21, 2017 at 10:14 am
Ends: Mon, Aug 21, 2017 at 11:36 am

Duration: 2 hours, 35 minutes
Magnitude: 0.84

But I'm headed to Salem, Oregon (missing the first day of school) ten hours north of me where it'll look like this:

Begins: Mon, Aug 21, 2017 at 9:05 am Countdown
Maximum: Mon, Aug 21, 2017 at 10:18 am
Ends: Mon, Aug 21, 2017 at 11:37 am

Duration: 2 hours, 32 minutes
Totality: 1 minute, 56 seconds
Magnitude: 1.01

Looking forward to it going dark!

Ah, I can't miss school, especially with the work I'll have at that time (that'll be third week, and also likely when my two dual enrollment classes start).

Heh, that's our first week first day, but I've had my sub for a year.

"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12

I have no regrets.

You have school on the 21st? For me, school starts on the 29th, so I'm probably going to somewhere that has 1.00 coverage.
Or more.
