Still up?

Post by NeBH »

I thought it would be cool to have a dedicated place to share what you got done today!
Also, I'm calling this thread Still up? because I'd like to see how late the average Science Olympian stays up.
When you post, please let us know what time it is, what time zone you're in, and what you did!

Mountain Time, I normally stay up past 11:00 here, and I still have a lot of studying to do. (Mainly for Dynamic Planet.)
"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12

I have no regrets.

It's 11:50 p.m., Mountain time, and I just finished replacing the spine of my Scrambler with a stronger version.
Tomorrow I need to double-check the dimensions/location of the backstop.
Also, I'll be testing the angle and brake at National specifications.

Hey, that's basically what I'm going to be doing this weekend! (The testing). Out of curiosity, what distances/times have you been getting so far?

I think about 3-5 seconds, and 1-2 feet (I don't think in metric. ;) ). But, I had a last-minute redesign, so that's probably not the average.

Spent an hour analyzing the finer areas of Meads Mills' 2015-2017 competiton history and did some brushing up on Echinoderm anatomy.

Examining nationals scoresheet, also spent some time messing around with a living-room sized plane. Does fine with a regular ikara propellor, but I'm trying to get it to climb slower with the thinnest rubber I have, and the flaring blade propellor is too heavy.
