Colimbine Anniveresy

Well I guess most of you don't know this but this is the 10th anniveresy of the Colimbine shooting that was at Colimbine College here in Colorado. Just post your thoughts if you know what i am talking about or even if you don't.

I was surprised at how effective Rachel's Challenge was. We had it at my school back in like November. I thought that people would forget about it after a month or so and the school would go back to the way it was before. I was wrong. The school is now a MUCH better place much to my surprise. If only the middle school could watch it.. the middle school is horrible with bullying. There have been numerous suicide attempts [including one by my friend] at my old middle school.. people need to stop.

I don't see how anyone wouldn't know. I don't think they talked about anything else on the news today.

I remember the day it happened. I would have been in second grade. What a sad day.

I was really young when it happened. The first time I heard about it was when the Virginia Tech shooting happened.
And what's was Rachel's Challenge?

it's this program where this girl rachel's journal entry got really famous. She wrote it before she got shot. her dream was to start a chain reaction of kindness and now there are people that go around to schools all over the country and talk about her story

Rachel's challenge was KIND of forgotten in my school afterward, but we never really had huge bullying problems anyway, we have like this peaceful coexistence thing going on where we don't bully, the smart kids just make fun of the stupid kids for being stupid and the stupid kids tease the smart kids for whatever they can. I personally liked it, and thought it to be a little inspiring, while also disliking the fact they played up on the whole "I know I'm gonna die young" thing to the point of calling her a prophet.

Anyway, I had a few friends who have their birthday today (It's also Hitler's birthday today FYI.... No, I'm not friends with Hitler). They didn't really seem to mind it at all when people brought Columbine and Hitler up, which I was surprised by.

Wait a minute, this is today? That's terrible. Schools need to put more time into practicing drills and stuff for incidents like this. These are way more likely to happen than fires, which is what my school has the most drills for. It's truly rediculous.

See i have never heard of rachels Challenege.
Most of us were probably really young when the shooting happened cause i know i was in Kindergarden.

I noticed someone mentioned that 4/20 was Hitlers birthday, well it is also Stoners day where you are supposed to get stoned at 4:20
