Maximum events

I'm doing 5 events, 4 study and 1 building and was wondering if you could add another building. I'm currently doing elevated bridge and I'm going to have to build a car for scrambler. The teacher said i cannot do more than 5 events. However I'm mad that after half a year of doing scrambler, the people suppose to do it didn't finish. If i were to do it, they would take credit. The rules also imply that the people doing the event should be the ones to build the stuff, right, found in wikipedia? Building the car for scrambler and not competing for the event is really messed up. I wish that there was 6 time slots because I can do crave the wave better than the people on my team without a binder. Yeah, my team is messed up.

You're not allowed to compete in more than 5. But you can build the device. That's what I did for bridge. I didn't compete, but I made the bridge.

You're not? But what if there's more than 5 time slots? I never knew you couldn't.

I thought that was a national rule. But maybe it's just a school rule.

I don't know any of this but I don't think they would put on a limit. I figure that as many events that its possibal you can do.

There is no limit. They just don't have enough slots for more than five events. And you can build the device and let others enter it but I don't suggest it because it just isn't right.

I can probably do 6 events if i can fit bridge and scrambler into the same time slot. If i cannot, i'm, going to build a crudely scrambler. They deserve it for not making a good one themselves. If i can, i'm going to make a good one. If the teacher doesn't let me, fine i will just not give them the scrambler cuz it is mine.

You want to know what's even more messed up? Me working on the scrambler, building it, and testing it from September up until states then not being able to compete in that event due to a conflict so the two people my coach randomly picked got to compete in it AND get the ribbon that it won AND getting mentioned in the newspaper for placing in that event. Same happened with elevated bridge. oh well, i guess that's life. Anyway, back on topic. there is no maximum number of events that is the same nation wide. You can do as many as you want unless you have a state, or team rule against it. I was going to do 6 events and build 2 [see above] at states but my coach took me out of one event at the last minute because someone else only had 1 event so he have it to him. At states, i ended up competing in 5 events and I built two events.

in texas we have 2 days, one for building, and one for study events, so you can do a max of about 9 events, although my coach likes people to do around 3, and is frustrated for me doing 5, and on my team if we have a conflict then whoever built it gets the medal

the most on our team is usually five (the top two in tryouts get 5, next few get 4, next few get 3 and so on), but out regional has 6 time slots, and our states has 7
