Last year, I submitted 2 rules clarifications for Robot Arm in October and never got a reply (I asked if the dice needed to have the numbers visible to the ES and if they needed to be flat on the ground to count).

This year, I submitted a clarification for EV several weeks ago, asking if the vehicle moves the cans, is the distance recorded the distance before the run or after the run (about Feb 3? can't really remember). Given my experience last year, I asked to be emailed if the question was unanswerable.

The Rules Committee posted one new rules clarification on Feb 11 for EV, but no trace of my question, nor an email saying it was unanswerable.

Has this sort of thing happened to anybody else? Also, how long does the committee take, on average, to answer questions?

This happened to me. I submitted like 3 rules clarifications and didn't receive any replies and the clarifications would have saved me from a major penalty for its about time and not being allowed to use part of my robot at nationals.

Yeah none of my questions were answered either...

I just saw a whole bunch of EV ones, including the ones referenced above, on Saturday. I've provided my suggestions on responding, but there are several other people involved and steps before a formal response will be issued.
