To try and bring some discussion back: anyone have an itouch/iphone and downloaded a bird app onto there? I got the Audubon one for around $20, and it was amazing, mainly because we got to study bird calls on the bus ride to states.

I also prefer its real photographs as opposed to hand-drawn illustrations, like Sibley has.
And during an activity at bio camp, I snuck up behind a Canadian Goose and pet it.

I got the Peterson one for $8. It was pretty good, but doesn't have all of the calls.

It's expensive, but worth it on the go. Of course, you could study at home, but if you need to cram, you can count on them.
