Yeah, I second that. I didn't want to sound overconfident, but I felt pretty good about how we would do at FH Central. I thought we had a chance at beating you guys at Grand Haven, but second was more likely. You guys turned in an extremely impressive performance.

I was surprised how much further away 3rd place was, though. Usually the point spread is much closer 2nd-6th.

White Pines getting 3rd... Wow. Amazing for a 5/6 school.

Region 11:
We’re allowed to bring our alternate teams. This year in B there were 18 teams total, 4 of which were alternate teams. In C there were 19 teams total, 7 of which were alternates. The alternate teams do not count in the scoring.
This year, 4 B and 4 C teams are invited to States.
The scores at regionals are calculated where high score wins. I have recalculated them here.

Div. B
1st: Kinawa 5-6 (89 pts)
2nd: Dansville (91)
3rd: Haslett (103)
4th: Holt JHS (111)
5th: Chippewa (128)
6th: Washington Woods (132)

Div. C
1st: Holt (72 pts)
2nd: St. Johns (78)
3rd: Haslett (87)
4th: East Lansing (96)
5th: Lansing Homeschool Scholars (136)
6th: Okemos (141)

Just out of curiosity, do you know why Region 11 uses that point system? Why not go low to high like everyone else?

More scores from this past Saturday:

Region 1:
Division B:
1. Washington Middle School
2. A.D. Johnston Middle School
3. Superior Central Middle School

Division C:
1. Calumet High School
2. A.D. Johnston High School
3. Superior Central High School

I think a fourth team in each division qualifies for states, but I'm not entirely certain. The region 1 website only lists the top three, and just says "the top teams in Division B/C qualify for states."

Region 3:
Haven't been able to find much from here. All I know is that Manistee Catholic Central qualified in both B and C.

Region 7:
Division B
1. Davis Junior High School (75)
2. Heritage Junior High School (101)
3. Iroquois Middle School (142)
4. Seneca Middle School (152)
5. Marysville Middle School (170)
6. Malow Junior High School (175)
7. L'Anse Creuse Middle School East (190)
8. Shelby Junior High School (197)
Full Scores: http://www.macombso.org/images/mssodocs ... esults.pdf
Not sure how many qualify for states in B.

Division C: Full scores: http://www.macombso.org/images/mssodocs ... esults.pdf

Region 15:
Also haven't been able to get much from here. It appears Hesperia High School and Ionia High School both qualified. Not sure about any others.

Anyone got some early State predictions yet? I'm honestly at a loss this year for predictions - I think it could go many, many different ways, and I think a decent number of teams will be competing for those top two spots.

I'll take a shot at predicting the top 6, though. Right now, I think the top 6 (in no particular order) will be Northville, Troy, Grand Haven, Forest Hills Central, Detroit Country Day, and Stevenson.

No IA Central? They don't seem any weaker this year to me.

I thought about that as soon as I hit "submit". I'll put them in for Stevenson. They had a pretty good showing at regionals.

So, Northville, Troy, Grand Haven, Forest Hills Central, Detroit Country Day, IA Central.
